Why does God love us

Did you know that you are loved? Do you know that someone loves you so much that they gave their only Son for you? John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Have you ever wondered why God loves you? I mean think about this for a moment, God, the creator of the universe, loves you so much that He gave His only son so that you could live.

Look around you today and look at all the evil, all the ungodly things that go on, and think, God still loves you and all the people of the world. All through out time man was at odds with God and His ways, yet God still cared and loved the people He created—Why? Why does God love you? Why does God love me, and why should I love God? Turn to Isaiah 49:15-16.

To begin, God loves us because we are His children. He created us in His likeness. We are His creation. We are His children and He will never forget us. Some parents do neglect or treat their children in ways they should not; but God's compassion to his people, goes beyond that of even the kindest and most loving parents. Isaiah 49:15-16 says,

"15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." These verses tell us that God loves us in the same manner that a mother loves her baby and even more so. He loves us because we are His creation, His children. He has etched our image upon the palm of HIS hands and HE watches out for us always.

God created us so that we could know Him. God wants us to know Him in His fullness. God wants us to be complete in Him. He wants to fellowship with us.
Without God, we are incomplete. Without God life is impersonal and has no direction. God loves you no matter what you do. Turn to Romans 5:6-11 please.
God loves you even when you turn from Him. God loves you even when you tell Him you don’t love Him. Even when you tell others that you don’t believe in Him, He still loves you and reaches out His arms to grab you when you call.

He’s there waiting for you always. He loves you so much and will do all things for you, if you will let Him. Our parents love is great and in most instances, our parents are always there for us. Sometimes though they are not there for us, but God is always there. All you have to do is call on Him. What other love could you ever want?
Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 for scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

God wants you to realize that without Him you are nothing. He wants you to see that all things in the universe can be yours if you will simply love Him, as He loves you. John 3:16 tells of God’s great love for you. Mark 10:45 tells of Christ’s love for you. Turn to Mark 10:45. Jesus came to this earth not to receive the Word, but to deliver the Word.

He came to minister not to be ministered to. Jesus came so that you and I could be rescued from our life of sin. "Mark 10:45 for even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." Unlike the world, Christ only desires to give unto us that which is good and that which brings life. Christ did not come to give us sickness and pain. He came to remove sickness and pain.

Romans 12:1-2 tells us that we are to present ourselves before God as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. These verses tell us that we are not to conform to the world, but instead we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind through Christ Jesus. We are to allow the life of Jesus to become our life and we are not to conform to the ways of the world.

"1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." God desires to meet all your needs in all things, the world desires only to meet the need of the world. The world will not take from itself to feed you, but God will. God gives unto you abundantly as you give unto others. God loves you because He is love. God wants to supply you with everything you need.

Philippians 4:19 says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Do you know anyone in the world that is willing to give their all for you? Do you know anyone that is willing to provide you with everything you need? I do! I know God and God desires to free you from bondage and restore you to perfection. God desires to take you to the next level. He desires to see you healthy, wealthy, wise, and free.
He desires to see you walking free from worry, fear, sickness and poverty. God loves us simply because He created us. We are the image of Him, His children and because of this, HE loves us. Turn to 1 John 4:1-19 please. Do you love the Lord today? You should, He gave Jesus so you could live. Let’s look at some reasons why we should love Him.

We should love God because He created us.
We should love Him because He sent Jesus to redeem us.
We should love Him because He first loved us.
We should love him because He gives us joy, peace, faith, healing, prosperity, success, favor and most of all because of love.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

4 ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5 they are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 and we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

15 whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 and we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 we love him, because he first loved us.

Because He first loved us, we should love Him. He did not have to create us, He did not have to send Jesus to give another chance to come to Him, but He did and because of this, we should love Him. Matthew 4:23 gives us another reason we should love Him. He sent Jesus to be everything for us, and Jesus went about preaching the gospel of His Father and healing all disease and all sickness.
Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
We should love Him because He has removed all disease and sickness from us through His Son Jesus Christ. We no longer need be sick or diseased if we are in Christ.

2 Corinthians 8:9 says this that we no longer need be poor because of Christ. Christ was made poor so we could be made rich. This is richness in all areas of our life.

2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

And God took away fear and replaced them with power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." God has done all things for us.

The spirit of God is the spirit of love. And it is because of God’s spirit that we are here today. Do you think that all those close calls you have are just that—close calls? Or do you think perhaps some one was watching out for you and still is watching out for you? Some one that is still waiting for you to say, "here am I, take me Lord, mold me and make me what you want." Some one cares for you and His name is Jesus, won’t you reach out to Him right now and tell Him you love Him.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

There is nothing that God desires more than to see His children free from bondage. God desires to walk hand in hand with you. God desires to meet your every need all of the time. Reach out right now and tell Him thank You for giving His all for you. Thank Him for loving you. And thank Him for allowing you to love Him and share in His life.

Do you know Him today -- would you like to know Jesus as your savior?
He is waiting right here for you.
Do you need to renew your walk with Him?
Would like to be filled with the Holy Spirit?
Do you need healing in your body?
