Why did neandertal man die out?

Why did Neanderthal Man die out?

QUESTION: Why did Neanderthal man die out?

RESPONSE: We are not even sure who the Neanderthal were! Their remains are found alongside those considered to be modern man in Israel. There is evidence from a recently discovered child's skeleton that they may have simply been a family group or related group with some distinct features which intermarried with others.
If that is the case, they never died, they simply got absorbed into the larger population. Dr. Jack Cuozzo has a book out, "Buried Alive," in which he presents evidence he thinks supports the idea that the Neanderthal were really simply very old humans -- possibly those who lived immediately after Noah's Flood. If that is the case, they died because they got old! But whoever they were, there is little doubt that they were fully human.
