Whom the Lord guides',

Back to The Pastor's Morning Visit

"You shall guide me with Your counsel—and afterwards receive me to glory!" Psalm 73:24

This supposes a knowledge of the Lord as . . .
infinitely gracious;
inflexibly just;
inconceivably wise;
immutably faithful.
Unless we truly know Him—we cannot sincerely trust Him.

But here is an entire surrender to Him, to be led . . .
where He pleases;
as He chooses; and
by whom He will.

Whom the Lord guides . .
He protects;
He preserves;
He supplies;
He receives to glory!

He receives them now at the throne of grace—to be His charge and His care. And He will receive them at the throne of Hisglory—and introduce them to perfect holiness, happiness, and honour!

Beloved, have you thus surrendered? Are you daily surrendering? Can you say to your gracious God, "You shall guide me with Your counsel—and afterwards receive me to glory?" If so, you are truly blessed!
