Whatever be the sphere

Whatever be the sphere in which Your good providence has placed us, may it be our earnest endeavor to use our time, and talents, and opportunities for You.

May it be our highest desire—to walk so as to please You.

May it be our heaviest cross and trial—to incur Your displeasure. In the performance of every-day duties, let us seek to make this the directory of our conduct, " How would Jesus have acted here? "
