In Revelation 21:1-27, we find the account of what will happen after the completion of God’s plan of salvation, and the purging of the earth by fire (II Peter 3:10-12). II Pet 3:1-3 state: “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle [dwelling] of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.” The earth will, at that time, become God’s government headquarters. God’s government will continue to grow (Luke 1:33; Isaiah 9:7).

God’s Master Plan encompasses eternity. Those entering His Kingdom will not be idle. They will be active and productive! They will continue to fulfill His plan. In Hebrews 2:6-8, we read that God will ultimately place man in authority over the entire universe (“all things”).

It is difficult to grasp the glory and magnitude of what we will be doing for eternity. Revelation 21:5 only gives us a hint: “‘Behold, I make all things new.’” You may also wish to read Romans 8:18 and I Corinthians 2:9.
