Two Spies

Joshua wisely sent two spies into Jericho to test the strength and defenses of the enemy. The two spies returned with valuable military information.

The following is what Rahab told them:

And said to them, "I know the LORD has given this land to you and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you." (Joshua 2:9—NIV)

The spies passed this information on to Joshua, which no doubt was a great encouragement.

Many of God's people are fearful. They become frightened at the thought of moving forward in God against the enemy. Those whom God sends over in advance will discover there is no basis for such fear because Hell is terrified at what God intends to do.

Satan and his forces have little fear of church people and their programs. The wicked spirits fear only the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. When a saint chooses to lay down his own life and allow the Lord Jesus to live in him, it is then Hell trembles.

Those who will ride behind Jesus in the invasion of the earth will be, like the Apostle Paul, dead-living people. They can fall on the sword, the Word of God, and not be wounded. They already have been judged by the Word. They can sing and dance in the fire of God because they are fireproof. They are fireproof because the worldliness, lust, and self-seeking of their personalities have previously been burned out of them.

The "spies" who enter enemy territory ahead of the main body of believers will be dead-living people. Perhaps God is calling you to enter His Presence to such an extent you can serve as someone who will be able to encourage the saints to follow the Lord Jesus into total conquest of the enemy.
