To Have Christ Formed and Dwelling in Us
I will also give him the morning star. (Revelation 2:28—NIV)
The Lord Jesus Christ is the bright morning Star. Satan also is a day star but the new day he is announcing is filled with moral horrors and endless torment.
If we will patiently obey the commandments of Christ and His Apostles, and also glean the valuable instructions of the Old Testament, the Day Star, Christ, will rise in our heart. His rising in us announces the new day of the Kingdom of God. Christ's new day will be filled with all that is righteous; all that is holy; all that is desirable, wonderful, joyous.
We in our adamic state are not able to inherit the earth and its nations. We never could govern and bless them as God wants them governed and blessed. We must have the Day Star, Christ formed in us and dwelling in us, if we are to inherit the nations of the earth.
Jezebel represents the worldly spirit, the partying spirit, eating, drinking, and making merry. Those who are willing to turn aside from the worldliness of Jezebel will inherit all that is desirable in the world and then will make new in Christ every aspect of their inheritance.
• Perfect union with Christ.
• The authority and power to rule in Christ over our circumstances.
• Freedom from the fear of being tormented by the Divine judgment.
• Daily provision for the saint who is fighting the good fight of faith.
• A new creation with a new name.
• And now the nations and the farthest reaches of the earth as our inheritance.
