Here we have the Christian's grand rule of action—the commandments of his dear Saviour. 

Here we have the Christian's grand motive and spring of action—love to Jesus! The obedience of love is easy, hearty, and thorough.

Love to Jesus is the strongest incentive to obedience:
love conquers fear,
love furnishes with zeal,
love equips with courage,
love devises the means,
love surmounts difficulties,
love and triumphs over opposition. 

"If you love Me—you will obey My commandments."
