"Bepatient therefore, Brethren, unto the coming of the LORD. Behold, thehusbandman waiteth for the preciousfruit of the Earth, and hathlong patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain" (James 5:7).
Lord of harvest, grant that we wholesome grainand pure may be.
"24 Know ye not that theywhich run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye mayobtain. 25 And every man thatstriveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain acorruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, notas uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under mybody, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I havepreached to others, I myself should be a castaway" (1Corinthians 9:24-27).

"Ipress toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:14).

"Whereforeseeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let uslay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let usrun with patience the race that is set before us" (Hebrews 12:1).

"7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished mycourse, I have kept the Faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a Crown ofRighteousness, which the LORD, the Righteous Judge, shall give me at that day:and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing" (2Timothy 4:7-8).

THIRD STANZA
For the Lord our God shall come, and shall takeHis harvest home;
"The LORDmy God shall come, and allthe Saints with Thee" (Zechariah14:5).

"9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, andthe Ancient of Days did sit, Whose garment was white as snow, and the hair ofHis head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and Hiswheels as burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth frombefore Him: thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times tenthousand stood before Him: the Judgment was set, and the books were opened. 13 I saw in the nightvisions, and, behold, one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven,and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. 14 And there was given Himdominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages,should serve Him: His dominion is an Everlasting Dominion, which shall not passaway, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. 21 I beheld, and the samehorn made war with the Saints, and prevailed against them; 22 Until the Ancient of Days came, andjudgment was given to the Saints of the Most High; and the time came that theSaints possessed the Kingdom" (Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14,21-22).
From His field shall in that day all offenses purge away,
"17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the LORDGOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the hegoats. 18 Seemeth it a smallthing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down withyour feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters,but ye must foul the residue with your feet? 19 And as for My flock,they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that whichye have fouled with your feet. 20 Therefore thus saith the LORD GOD unto them;Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the leancattle. 21 Because ye have thrustwith side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, tillye have scattered them abroad; 22 Therefore will I save My flock, and they shallno more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle"(Ezekiel 34:17-22).

"11 I indeed baptize you with water untorepentance: but He that cometh after me [John the Baptist] is mightier than I,whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost,and with fire: 12 Whose fan is in His hand, and He will throughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat intothe garner; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire" (Matthew 3:11-12).
Giving angels charge at last in the fire the tares to cast;
"26 And then shall they see the Son of Man comingin the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then shall He sendHis angels, and shallgather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of theEarth to the uttermost part of Heaven" (Mark 13:26-27).

"10 And the Devil that deceived them was cast intothe Lake of Fire and Brimstone,where the Beast and the False Prophet are, and shall be tormented day and nightfor ever and ever. 11 And I saw a Great White Throne, and Him thatsat on it, from Whose face the Earth and the heaven fled away; and there wasfound no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standbefore God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which isthe Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things which werewritten in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up thedead which were in it; and Death and Hell delivered up the dead which were inthem: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And Death and Hell werecast into the Lake of Fire. This is theSecond Death. 15 And whosoeverwas not found written in the Book of Life wascast into the Lake of Fire" (Revelation 20:10-15).

Butthe fruitful ears to store in His garner evermore.
"10 Behold, the Lord GODwill come with strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him: behold, His rewardis with Him, and His work before Him. 11 He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: Heshall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in Hisbosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young" (Isaiah 40:10-11).

"27 My sheep hear My Voice, and I know them, andthey follow Me: 28 And I give unto them Eternal Life; and theyshall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. 29 My Father, which gavethem Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father'shand. 30 I and My Father areOne" (John10:27-30).

FOURTH STANZA
Even so, Lord,quickly come, bring Thy final harvest home;
"7 Behold, I comequickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of thisBook. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward iswith Me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 17 And the Spirit and theBride say, Come. And lethim that heareth say, Come.And let him that is athirst come.And whosoever will, let him take the Water of Life freely. 20 He which testifieththese things saith, Surely Icome quickly. Amen. Even so, come,LORD Jesus" (Revelation 22:7, 12, 17, 20).

"14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, andupon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of Man, having on His head a goldencrown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel cameout of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him that sat on the cloud,Thrust in Thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come forthee to reap; for the harvestof the Earth is ripe. 16 And He that sat on thecloud thrust in His sickle on the Earth; and the Earth was reaped. 17 And another angel cameout of the temple which is in Heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel cameout from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to himthat had the sharp sickle,saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle,and gather the clusters of the vine of the Earth;for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the Earth, and gathered the vine of the Earth, and cast itinto the great winepress of the wrath of God" (Revelation 14:14-19).

Gather Thou Thypeople in, free from sorrow,free from sin,
"If anyof thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will theLORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will He fetchthee" (Deuteronomy 30:4).

"AndHe shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His Elect from the four winds, from one end ofheaven to the other" (Matthew24:31).

"Andbefore Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separatethem one from another, as a Shepherd divideth His sheep from the goats" (Matthew 25:32).

"Andthen shall He send His angels, and shall gather together His Elect from the four winds, from the uttermostpart of the Earth to the uttermost part of heaven" (Mark 13:27).

"14 For if we believe that Jesusdied and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesuswill God bring with Him. 15 For this we say unto you by the Word of theLORD, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the LORD shall notprevent [precede] them which are asleep. 16 For the LORD Himselfshall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, andwith the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are aliveand remain shall be caught uptogether with them in theclouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with theLORD" (1Thessalonians 4:14-17).
There, forever purified, in Thy garner to abide;
"Followpeace with all men, and holiness,without which no man shall see the LORD" (Hebrews 12:14).

"2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and itdoth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear,we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And every man that haththis hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure. 4 Whosoever committethsin transgresseth also the Law: for sin is the transgression of the Law. 5 And ye know that He wasmanifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth inHim sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. 7 Little children, let noman deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He isrighteous. 8 He that committeth sinis of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose theSon of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born ofGod doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, andthe children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,neither he that loveth not his brother" (1John 3:2-10).

"Theythat trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot beremoved, but abideth for ever" (Psalm 125:1).

"Andthe world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever" (1John 2:17).
Come, with all Thine angels come, raise the glorious harvest home.
"When theSon of Man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon thethrone of His glory" (Matthew25:31).

"Butthe path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more untothe Perfect Day" (Proverbs 4:18).

"Andthey that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they thatturn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever" (Daniel 12:3).

"19 For what is our hope, or joy, or Crown ofRejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our LORD Jesus Christ at Hiscoming? 20 For ye are our glory and joy"(1Thessalonians 2:19-20).

"Lookingfor that Blessed Hope, and the glorious appearing of the Great God and ourSaviour Jesus Christ" (Titus2:13).

Amen, and Amen.
