The Battle

 

1.The reign of the Kingdom of God began with Jesus, Mt 12:28

2.We enter that kingdom by repentance/believing. John 3:5

3. The Kingdom of God is destroying the kingdom of Satan. 1 John 3:8
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devils work."

4. At the return of Christ, Satan will be eternally destroyed.Mt 13:36-43.

Jesus public ministry was aimed at destroying Satan`s kingdom and introducing the kingdom of God.

Casting out demons

The whole world is under the control of the evil one' 1 John 5:19
Therefore we are in a Hostile Environment in which the kingdom of satan is at war against the saints. Rev 12:17.

ENEMY

A. Does Satan/ Demons exist?
The New Testament assumes so, especially in the gospels, where Jesus ministry involves a constant confrontation with the powers of darkness.

Read the gospel of Mark 1:1 and underline relevent sections to to get some idea.

We find an awareness of demonic/Satan`s activity throughout the New Testament, as well in the early church  (post Biblical), in Reformation literature, and increasionly today.
