Sincere Love

I was called to be free. I do not use my freedom to indulge the flesh; but, rather, to serve others in love. I am to be completely humble and gentle; to be patient, bearing with others in love.

I live a life of love, just as Christ loved me and gave himself up for me as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. May the Lord make my love increase and overflow for others. May the Lord direct my heart into God's love and Christ's perseverance.

My love must be sincere. I hate what is evil; I cling to what is good. I am devoted to others in brotherly love. I honour others above myself.

I am to let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love others, for if I love my fellow man I have fulfilled the law. If I love, I do no harm to my neighbour. Therefore, love is the fulfilment of the law. If my brother is distressed because of what I eat, I am no longer acting in love.

I pray that my love may abound more and more.

I am to set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. God did not give me a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. Love with faith came from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. His grace comes to me as I love my Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

By speaking the truth in love, I will in all things grow up into him who is my Head, that is, Christ. Has not God chosen me who am poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?
