Reflecting the Lord’s Glory

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honour and immortality, the Lord will give eternal life. I rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. I was buried with Christ through baptism into death in order that, just as he was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, I too may live a new life.

Now if I am a child of God, then I am an heir — an heir of God and a co-heir with Christ, if indeed I share in his sufferings in order that I may also share in his glory. I consider that my present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in me.

With an unveiled face I reflect the Lord’s glory, and am being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness’, made his light shine in my heart to give me the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Because I worship by the Spirit of God, I glory in Christ Jesus, and

put no confidence in the flesh.

God has chosen to make known to me the glorious riches of this

mystery, which is Christ in me, the hope of glory, When Christ, who

is my life, appears, then I also will appear with him in glory.

My light and momentary troubles are achieving for me an eternal

glory that far outweighs them all. God called me to share in the gospel, that I might share in the glory of my Lord Jesus Christ. I am urged to live a life worthy of God, who calls me into his kingdom and glory. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
