It is uncertain when this Psalm was composed; though it is probable that it was written by David during the rebellion of Absalom.
It is an exceedingly fine composition; it evidently refers to the advent, passion, and resurrection of our Lord, to the vocation of the Gentiles, and the reprobation of Jews: See the Marginal References.
