Our life-building

Our life-building

"Each one should be careful how he builds." 1 Corinthians 3:10

We ourselves are always the real builders in our life. Others may lift the blocks into place — but we must lay them on the wall.

Our own hands give the touches of beauty , or of marring — no matter what other hands hold the brushes or mix the colors for us. If our life-building is marred or unsightly when it is finished — we cannot say it was some other's fault.

Others may have sinned against you — and you may have been harmed by them.

Others may have sorely wronged you — and the hurt yet stays in your life. Still you are the builder of your own life. Even the broken fragments of what seems a ruin, you can take, and with them, through God's grace, you can make a noble life-building.
