Only as Christ

Only as Christ dwells in our hearts

"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18

Only as Christ dwells in our hearts by His Spirit, shall we reach the true ideal of Christian life and experience. Then shall we do right, not by direction of written rule — but by the promptings of the indwelling Christ.

Then shall our dull lives be transfigured by Christ in our hearts, as He slowly changes all the earthliness to Heavenliness.

Then shall the features of the Divine image come out, little by little, as the new life within forces itself through the dull crust of the old nature — until at length the full beauty of Christ shines, where once only sin's marred visage was seen!

"For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son! " Romans 8:29
