Back to Nehemiah'

Hagaba.

Ezra 2:45; Ezra 2:46

Hagabah, or Hagab.

The Alexandrian MS. of the Septuagint inserts here, [uioi Akoud, uioi Outa, weoi Ketar, weoi Agab] "the children of Akoud, the children of Outa, the children of Ketar, the children of Agab," or Hagab: see the parallel passages. Shalmai.

In the parallel passage not only the Keri and Septuagint, but many of Dr. Kennicott's MSS. read Shalmai, as here. A more extensive collation of MSS. would doubtless tend still more to harmonize both the names and numbers.

Ezr 2:46
