A penitent backslider and a forgiving God! ' Salvation!' A peculiar people' Softened, broke, and melted your heart' Fixed and fastened by an Almighty hand.'	When we are reduced to poverty and beggary' Not a grain! Not an atom!' They will come with weeping' This is the saint's inheritance!' Savoury food such as their soul loves'
A smoother way to glory?' Should you then seek great- We stand upon slippery places!' One grain of holiness?' What is this hidden manna? '	Entangled, perplexed and distressed?' A very different thing from lifeless-' Poor in spirit' God's purpose' Utter fools!'	The heart of God's child' A spirit of delusion' The husks which the swine eat' Then they cried' O what painful work it is!'
We get no better, but rather worse' Blundering and stumbling on in darkness' When you are in the wilderness' O what crowds of pitiable objects'
