Light

In Jesus was life, and that life was the light of men. I have seen a great light; on me a light has dawned. Jesus is the light of the world. As I follow him I will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. I put my trust in the light while I have it, so that I may become a son of light. I put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light. Because I live by the truth I come into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what I have done has been done through God.

God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness', made his light shine in my heart to give me the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. I was once darkness, but now I am light in the Lord. So I live as a child of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth). The Father has qualified me to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

I am a son of the light and a son of the day. I do not belong to the night or to the darkness. God has called me out of darkness into his wonderful light. If I walk in the light, as he is in the light, I have fellowship with others, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies me from all sin.

The eye is the lamp of the body. If my eyes are good, my whole body will be full of light. But if my eyes are bad, my whole body will be full of darkness. I am to be light for the world. My light is to shine before men, that they may see my good deeds and praise my Father in heaven. If I love my brother I live in the light, and there is nothing in me to make him stumble.
