Jesus heals 10 lepers

Jesus heals 10 lepers only one of them returns to thank Jesus

Luke 17 11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.

12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance

13 and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!"

14 When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed.

15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.

16 He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.

17 Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?

18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?"

19 Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."

Formula of Happiness in the Bible

This healing looked hard for the lepers:

A leper could not mingle with people and Jesus tells them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests."... they had to cross all Samaria and Judea, to enter the great city of Jerusalem, and on top of it to enter into the Temple, to show themselves to the priests.

The 10 lepers were healed, and in the way! things became easier for them, And as they went, they were cleansed.

But only one of them came back with joy, praising God, giving thanks... and Jesus points out this fact,"Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Formula of Happiness in the Bible:

We often do like those 9 who didn't returned with joy praising the Lord and giving thanks, and we miss completely the secret of joy in the Bible.

God gives us the body and the health and we even forget to thank God. He gives us the light and warm of the sun, much more important than the gasoline, and we don't rejoice and praise the Lord every minute of every day. And gives us all day long lots of good and practical things, like the oxygen, and the water, and the wind and the calm and tempests, and we don't rejoice with them and praise the Lord giving thanks... Oh, yes, and He gives us our children and relatives and friends, and even enemies, and we spend the day without giving thanks for even a minute...

And we even forget to give thanks for the salvation, and the Bible, and for His Church...

This is what the Bible Says:

5:16 Be joyful always;

17 pray continually; 18give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (Thes.5:16-18).

Here, in three short verses, the Bible tells us to be always joyful!... and to be always joyful we have to pray continually!... and the way to pray continually is to give thanks to God in all circumstances, praise the Lord!... always!, continually!, in all circumstances!... is there any other word in the Dictionary?... every second of every minute of every day!

It is the secret of happiness in the Bible.

"Always and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father" (Eph.5:20).

It is simple: Give thanks to God, with joy, always, for everything, in all circumstances:

On a sunny day: Thanks God. On a rainy day:

Thanks God.

On a stormy day:

Thanks God, the lightening and thunders are also gifts of God for you… it is the way to pray constantly... for your health give thanks to God, but very specially when you are healed physical or spiritually...

When you eat or work or play: Thanks God. Are you sick, or in need, or with big problems?: Thanks God… God cares so much about you that even all your hairs has well counted (Mt.10:30). And giving thanks to God, with joy, is the first main step for that sickness or problem to be solved.

Often I hear: Poor child who died so soon!… but you should say: Happy child, God brought him to Heaven so soon in life!… you often forget that the main purpose of God for you is to bring you to the eternal joys of Heaven…

Everything in your life is a gift of God, prepared with care for you: "there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand"Deut.32:39)

To give thanks to God always, with joy, is the way to pray constantly, and the secret of happiness of the Bible…. "Trust in God" is the message of every page in the Old Testament. In the New, it is "Faith in Christ".

Some people do the opposite: Instead of giving thanks to God always, they are complaining constantly: If it snows, they have to shovel it. If it rains, they get wet. Even if it is a beautiful sunshine day, they complain because they are working and can't enjoy it… instead of always praying, they are always slandering God, as if he would always prepare just the wrong thing for them… and this why they are always sad, instead of being always happy… on earth!…

And, on top of it, after being always sad on earth, they will go to eternal Hell… and those who live on earth always happy, giving thanks to God constantly, will go to eternal Heaven, praise the Lord!

It is emphasized in the Preface of every Holy Mass, Indeed it is "just" and "necessary", our "duty" and our "salvation" to give thanks to God always and in all circumstances.

There are no more words in the dictionary to emphasize it!
