Jesus Loves Me

Jesus loves me as his own and has shown me the full extent of his love. God demonstrates his own love for me in this - while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me. Jesus has made the Father known to me, and will continue to make him known in order that the love the Father has for Jesus may be in me and that Jesus himself may be in me.

As the Father has loved Jesus, so has he loved me. Now I can remain in his love. If I obey his commands, I will remain in his love, just as he obeyed his Father's commands and remained in his love. HI love Jesus, I will obey his teaching. His Father will love me, and they will come to me and make their home with me.

Jesus's command to me is this: I am to love others as he has loved me. I can have no greater love than this, that I lay down my life for my friends, This is his command: I am to love others. if I love those who love me, what credit is that to me? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. I am to love my enemies, to do good to those who hate me.

I am to love my enemies, to do good to them, and to lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then my reward will be great, and I will be a son of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

I am to love the Lord my God with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind. I cannot serve two masters. Either I will hate the one and love the other, or I will be devoted to the one and despise the other. I cannot serve both God and money.
