Jer 33:1 God promises to the captivity a gracious return;

Jer 33:9 a joyful state;

Jer 33:12 a settled government;

Jer 33:15 Christ the branch of righteousness;

Jer 33:17 a continuance of kingdom and priesthood;

Jer 33:19 and a stability of a blessed seed.

This was the eleventh year of Zedekiah, Jeremiah being still shut up in prison; but he was now in the court of the prison, where the elders and the king's officers might consult him with the greater ease.
