In The Power Of The Spirit

For he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, I am weak in him, yet by God's power I will live with him to serve others. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen me with power through his Spirit in my inner being that I may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

I will be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. I have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. I have been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through my faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. I pray that I might be strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that I may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully give thanks to the Father, who has qualified me to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise me also. My body is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. Through faith I am shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection.

His divine power has given me everything I need for life and godliness through my knowledge of him who called me by his own glory and goodness. I am to spread the gospel not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. For God did not give me a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

I pray that God may count me worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfil every good purpose of mine and every act prompted by my faith. May the God of hope fill me with all joy and peace as I trust in him, so that I may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

My message and my preaching are not to be with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that people's faith might not rest on my wisdom, but on God's power.
