“Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.”

What does the passage mean when saying that women are “saved in childbearing”?

There are two meanings: (1) The Greek actually means “the childbearing,” and this refers to the birth of Christ, whose crucifixion saves Christians, including all women, and (2) if a woman performs as a strong Christian wife and mother, including her role as teacher of God’s future sons and daughters, she will be saved.
