I Have Died
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Now if I died with Christ, I believe I will also live with him.
When I was baptised in Christ Jesus, I was baptised into his death. I was therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, I too may live a new life.
For I know that my old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin may be rendered powerless, that I should no longer be a slave to sin - because if I have died I have been freed from sin.
May I never boast except in the cross of my Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and Ito the world. I died with Christ to the basic principles of this world.
I also died to the (religious) law through the body of Christ, that I might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that I might bear fruit for God. For I died, and my life is now hidden with Christ in God.
