Eph 5:21 What does "submitting yourselves one to another" mean?

This is yet another way in which the spirit-filled life should express itself.

Christians are to give way to each other - not assert themselves - out of reverence for Christ (CP Ro 12:3, 10; Ga 5:13, 26; Php 2:1-8; Jas 3:13-14; 1Pe 5:5-6).

No believer is inherently superior to another.

We are all equal before God although we have varying functions and responsibilities. However, if we accept certain functions under a fellow-human, we must subject ourselves to that individual to accomplish a common goal.
