Enable us to feel our sins

Enable us to feel our sins—to have a deep and heartfelt consciousness of their heinousness in Your sight.

We are apt to cloak and mask them; we are reluctant to make a frank and unreserved confession of them all. Lord, give us grace, in true penitence and contrition of heart, to cast ourselves—all unworthy—on the infinite worthiness of Him who is all-worthy.

For His sake, receive us graciously--love us freely. We rejoice to meditate on the love which He had for us from all eternity.

We rejoice to think that it is the same at this hour that it was then—unchanging, everlasting.
