Creation

Parents: Explain to your child that in the beginning God created a beautiful earth, which was destroyed because of Satan's rebellion. Then, explain how God recreated the surface of the earth.
On the first day of creation, God divided the light from the darkness.
He called the light, Day, and the darkness, Night.
On the second day of creation, God made the firmament (firm-ament).
The firmament is the air we breathe, which covers the whole earth.

Parents: Explain that God separated the waters above and below the earth.
On the third day of creation, God separated the seas from the land.
He called the land Earth. He also made all the trees, grasses and fruits of the land.
On the fourth day of creation, God made the sun to light up the day, and the moon for the night. He also made all the stars that are in the heavens.

On the fifth day of creation, God made all the animals that live in the oceans and waters that cover the earth.
On the fifth day of creation, God also made all the birds that are on the earth.
On the sixth day of creation, God made ALL the land animals. That's a lot of work! He also made the first man that same day.
Parents: Let your child spell out the pictures. Ask them to take the first letter from each word and put it on the line below. Then, tell them about God's Holy Sabbath, which He made on the seventh day.

On the seventh day, God rested from all His hard work from the previous days. God blessed this day and set it apart for holy use. This day is called the Sabbath. Every seventh day we obey God's command to rest from our daily work.
