Can people still be saved during the coming Great Tribulation?

This world’s churches universally teach a false concept of what it means to be saved. You may wish to read our booklet Just What Is Salvation?

Concerning the Great Tribulation, Christ stated, “Watch you therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass…” (Luke 21:36). World conditions will be so horrible (Matt. 24:22) that no one would want to stay behind.

Before the time known as the Great Tribulation, God’s true Church will have fled to a place of safety (Rev. 12:14; 3:10). You may wish to listen to the sermons “The Promised Place of Safety” (Parts 1&2), posted on our website.

Only those who come out of the Tribulation will have the chance for salvation in this lifetime. Those who die in the Tribulation (without ever having known God’s Way) will receive their opportunity for salvation during the Great White Throne Judgment (Rev. 20:11-12).

The Laodiceans (Rev. 3:14-22) will have to lose their lives in order to be in the First Resurrection, and will be in captivity before that time. They will not likely be in a position to baptize anyone. The Bible plainly shows that true conversion must be preceded by repentance, baptism (by immersion) and the receiving of the Holy Spirit.

(You may also wish to read our booklets What Do You Mean Water Baptism? and What Is True Conversion?)

The only true servants of God ministering to the world during the Tribulation will be the two witnesses (Rev. 11:3-12). There is no indication that they will baptize anyone. During their time of prophesying, they will witness calamitous events occurring around the world.
