There is a brain religion, or head knowledge, or tongue work, or that miserable, dry, barren, marrow-less, moonlight acquaintance with the doctrines of grace, which—hardens the heart—sears the conscience—and lifts up the soul with presumption, to dash it down into the blackness of darkness forever.
