9:1-2 What is meant by the term "this way" in V2?
This way refers to the Christian way, the Christian religion (CP 18:25-26; 19:9, 23; 22:4; 24:14, 22).
Paul was violently opposed to Christians. He had sought and was given permission by the chief priests in Jerusalem to apprehend Christians in Damascus and bring them back to Jerusalem bound, to be thrown into prison (see also comments on Ac 8:1).
