7:33-36 What was Jesus referring to here?
Jesus was referring to His death here (CP 8:21-22; 13:33, 36; 14:19; 16:16-22).
In Jn 7:36 the Jews thought that Jesus meant that He would go somewhere else and preach to the Gentiles, but He was referring to His eventual death, after which
He would return to heaven to be with the Father who sent Him (CP Mk 16:19; Lu 24:50-51; Ac 1:9; He 9:11-12; 10:12; 1Pe 3:21-22).
