6:3-10 What is the lesson here for believers today?
The lesson here for believers today is that everyone who will faithfully preach the word of God and not compromise its truth, can expect to be both loved and hated, accepted and rejected, and to encounter both joy and hardship in their ministry (CP Mt 5:10-12; 2Th 1:4-5; 2Ti 3:12; Jas 1:2-4; 1Pe 4:12-19).
Paul suffered much for the truth of God's word, but he would not compromise it in any way.
