5:14-18 Why did the religious leaders arrest the apostles here?
The key to understanding why the religious leaders arrested the apostles here is in the word indignation in V17.
In this context it means envy, jealousy, anger (CP Ac 13:45).
The religious leaders were jealous and angry at how many people were turning to Christ because of the signs and wonders being wrought by the apostles (CP V12-14).
