3:20-21 Who are the friends of Jesus referred to here?
These friends are members of Jesus' family - His mother, Mary, and His half-brothers.
This is confirmed for us in Mk 3:31-32 (cp Mk 3:31-32).
Friends is derived from the Greek phrase hoi par autou, which means those from the side of him - clearly indicating family members (cp also Lk 8:19-21).
