1:8 What does Jesus mean by what He says here?

Jesus means that when the disciples have been baptized in the Spirit, which He had spoken of many times previously, they would be endued with power to be witnesses to His saving grace, not only in Jerusalem and the surrounding regions, but throughout the whole earth (CP 1:4-5 with Lu 24:49; Jn 7:37-39).

The disciples were already regenerated by the Spirit, but not yet baptized in the Spirit (CP Jn 14:15-17).

Soon they would receive the baptism in the Spirit and a new dimension of power to witness for Christ (CP Ac 2:1-4; Eph 2:10; 3:16-20).
