The Jews had the greatest sin for rejecting Jesus and delivering Him up to death. Pilate was convinced by his conscience of Christ's innocence.
His sin was yielding to the Jews for the sake of political expediency, but the Jews' sin was greater because they were rejecting their Messiah (CP V1-6, 14-18; Ac 3:13-15).
