First Corinthians 10:11 provides us with the key to understanding the Scriptures. Christ and His Body are the focal point of the workings of God. All that took place before Jesus came to earth was preparatory and instructional.

The moment Jesus rose from the dead the Kingdom of God began. Since that time the Holy Spirit has been constructing the Kingdom.

This is why Jesus stated that the least person in the Kingdom of God is greater than John the Baptist, although John was the equal of any of the prophets. The Kingdom of God began when the Lord Jesus rose from the dead.

Everything in the history of Israel has taken place, and has been recorded, for the instruction of the members of the Body of Christ.
