12:47-48 What do we learn from what Jesus says here?
In V47 we learn that one must first hear God's word in order to believe in it and be saved (CP Psa 22:22; 40:9-10; 119:9, 13; Jn 5:24; Ro 1:16; 10:13-17; 1Cor 1:21; 4:15; Col 1:3-6; 1Ti 4:16; Tit 1:1-3; Jas 1:18; 1Pe 1:23).
In V48 we learn that whoever does not believe in God's word will be judged by the word on the Day of Judgment (CP De 18:18-19; Jn 3:18, 36; Ac 3:22-23).
