10:8 What does “freely ye have received, freely give” mean?

Christians have been freely empowered by Christ to impart spiritual gifts, to heal the sick, to cast out demons, to raise the dead etc, but they must not charge for their services.

They have received these blessings at no cost to themselves and must dispense them on the same basis (cp V1; Mk 6:7; Lk 10:19 with Ac 8:14-23).
