10:35-37 How are we to understand this passage of scripture?
Here the author of Hebrews is admonishing the Jewish Christians not to give up on God after having endured so much for their faith.
This admonition is for us today too. We are nearer to the time of Christ's return than ever before and our future life with Jesus in the world to come. Believers must never give up on Christ, but wait patiently for His return, regardless of any persecutions they may be suffering.
Only those who endure to the end will be saved (CP V38-39 with Mt 10:32; Jas 1:12).
