"Teach me what I cannot see." Job 34:32',

Back to The Pastor's Morning Visit

We were once blind—but now our eyes are open; but still we are absolutely dependent on divine teaching to become truly wise.

When God teaches us:
self will become vile;
the world will become vanity;
sin will become bitter;
the blood of Christ will become most precious;
His righteousness will become glorious;
His name will become our only hope;
His love will become our joy;
His Spirit will become our strength;
His glory will become our aim; and
"Teach me," will become our daily prayer.

Beloved, let us daily plead with God to teach us:
that we may know Christ, and
the power of His resurrection, and
the fellowship of His sufferings, and
be made conformable to His death.

Let us beg the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, that we may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

Jehovah alone can teach us to profit.
