Back to Next Part Man's religion & God's religion 2

When Jesus manifests Himself to the soul, He becomes its Lord—for He puts down all other rivals, and seats Himself on the throne of the affections.

He then becomes in reality what before He was but in name—Christ Jesus our Lord.

We then lie at His sacred feet—we embrace Him with the arms of faith—He sways the sceptre over a willing heart, and we crown Him Lord of all.
