In practical steps, what should my first step be after I have accepted all?
God is most eager to enter into a serious relationship with you. In fact, He wants you to be His son or daughter. Just think what a privilege it would be to be the son or daughter of the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. This genuine opportunity is granted to you, He is eagerly waiting to bestow this highest of honours. Yet, His word to you is, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them , and be ye separate , saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; 2 Cor 7:1.
The important Bible passage contains the following principles:
1. God does not permit any mixture of truth with error (even if its 99% truth). Only Satan mixes truth with error to maximize his deception. Thus, any system of religion that incorporates errors (such as Sunday being the Lord's Day) along with truth is not from God. For "what communion hath light with darkness?" "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all" 2 Corinthians 6:14; 1 John 1:5. The truth is 100% truth or it is not truth. There is no place for man-made teachings or traditions.
