Back to Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
Back to Nehemiah'
Meunim.
The first of these variations is attributable to the translation, the original being uniformly, [Men ,] {Meim;} and the latter arises from the mutation of, [V,] {wav,} and, [Yd,] {yood,} and insertion of, [Shn,] {sheen,} though in the parallel passage the Kethiv is [Nephcm ,] {Nephisim;} and here the Keri and many MSS. have [Nephhsecm ,] {Nephishesim.}
