Key Passages Missing in the K.J./ NIV Bible

Revision as of 21:02, 11 June 2011 by Admin (Talk | contribs)

The first list is a sampling depicting omissions that are commonplace in modern versions. These omissions often diminish basic doctrines. The New International Version, which we have used as a representative, has somewhat fewer omissions than the New American Standard, Revised Standard, New English, etc.

Yet even in the NIV, the deletions are considerable and noteworthy. This will become increasingly evident when the second list, which gives all of the Names of Deity that have been omitted, is perused. The two translations have been placed side by side so that the earnest inquirer can readily perceive the magnitude of the situation and determine for himself whether the NIV has the same authority and reverence as the Authorized Version.

MAT 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness and marries another woman commits adultery.
