This Page is Under Construction

The habit of laying up a text of Scripture in the morning, to be meditated upon while engaged in the business of this world through the day—is both profitable and delightful. It is as a refreshing draught to a weary traveller!

My object in these pages is  . . .
to stir up the minds of the Lord's people,
to caution them against sin,
to guard them against Satan, and
to stimulate them in the path of holy obedience.
James Smith,

"My Father!
Unless we are upheld by an invisible arm!
Our Maker becomes our Husband!
Everyone had a home—but Him!
I am going to vomit you out of My mouth!
What can strangers and travellers expect?
"Behold, I am vile!"
What do you have?
Our sins and follies call for stripes!
The mark at which we aim!
Every other refuge will fail him!
Let us fall at His feet—and frankly confess our folly!
He is—what He was; and what He is—He ever will be!
