Aaron staff in the Ark of the Covenant

The Budding of Aaron's Staff, Num.17

1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 "Speak to the Israelites and get twelve staffs from them, one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes. Write the name of each man on his staff. 3 On the staff of Levi write Aaron's name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe. 4 Place them in the Tent of Meeting in front of the Testimony, where I meet with you. 5 The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites."

6 So Moses spoke to the Israelites, and their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one for the leader of each of their ancestral tribes, and Aaron's staff was among them. 7 Moses placed the staffs before the LORD in the Tent of the Testimony.

8 The next day Moses entered the Tent of the Testimony and saw that Aaron's staff, which represented the house of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds. 9 Then Moses brought out all the staffs from the LORD's presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each man took his own staff.

10 The LORD said to Moses, "Put back Aaron's staff in front of the Testimony, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die." 11 Moses did just as the LORD commanded him.

12 The Israelites said to Moses, "We will die! We are lost, we are all lost! 13 Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the LORD will die. Are we all going to die?"

Aaron staff in the Ark of the Covenant:

The Ark of the Covenant is the most sacred object of Judaism, placed in the Holy of Holies... the reason and heart of the Sanctuary...

Its contains are best explained in the book of Hebrews... and they are very important says Hebrews, symbolic of the real things to come in Christianity: This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron's staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant... 9This is an illustration for the present time (symbolic for the present age) (Heb.9:4,9).

The Ark is just a symbol of God, of the real Tabernacle to come in the Christian Temple where Jesus is really present, not in a symbolic form, but by real, God Himself present!.

And the three objects in the Ark are a symbol of the Church of Christ: 1- The gold jar containing the "manna"... is symbol of the real "Eucharist"... the real Jesus present!... God Himself!

2- The "rod of Aaron" which blossomed... is symbol of the "Hierarchy in the Church".

3- The "stone tables" of the 10 Commandments of Moses... is symbolic of the whole "Bible".

The Great Miracle to come, at the end of times:

This Ark is the most sacred object of the Jews, but when the Temple was destroyed, the Ark was lost... but the Bible says that Jeremiah put it in a huge cave at Mount Nebo, in Jordan, and he made two prophecies: 1- It will stay there until God gathers his people together again. 2- At that time, the columns of fire and cloud will be seen again as in the times of Moses... a huge column of fire of 2 kilometers high that will be seen from all over Israel and Jordan... and by TV from all over the world (2Maccabees 2).
