5:9-10 What wrath did Christ save us from?
The wrath Paul refers to here is the divine judgment to be inflicted upon all the ungodly in the earth during the great tribulation which prefaces the second coming of Christ (CP Mt 24:29-31; Lu 21:23; Rev 6:12-17; 11:18; 19:11-15 with Eph 2:3; 5:6; 1Th 1:10; 5:1-9).
