1:10 What do we learn from what Paul says here?

We learn from this that the church will be taken up to heaven before the tribulation (cp Lk 21:36; Ro 5:9-10; 1Th 5:6-11; Rev 3:7-11).

The tribulation in God's wrath poured out upon sinners, not saints (cp Ro 2:1-9; Eph 5:5-7; Col 3:5-7; 1Th 2:14-16; 5:1-5; 2Th 2:1-5, 10-12; Rev 6:12-17).

All the saints of God, Old Testament and New Testament alike, both living and dead, will be with Jesus in heaven when God's wrath is poured out upon the ungodly in the earth in the tribulation (cp Jn 14:1-3; 1Cor 15:51-58; 1Th 4:13-18; 2Th 2:6-9; Rev 3:7-13).
