Back to THOUGHTS FOR THE QUIET HOUR
Now anyone who builds on that foundation may
use gold, silver, jewels." 1 Cor. 3:12
There is a variety of work, and of capacity for work,
in the Christian Church.
"Gold"—pure, noble-hearted and open-handed men,
of position and influence, who use that influence for
the highest ends; holy in thought, word, and deed.
"Silver"—True men, not so talented, or wealthy, or
influential, but who do their part faithfully and
unostentatiously.
"Jewels"—Those of special gifts, brilliant attainments,
whose endowments of nature and grace are consecrated
to their great Lord.
